World of Warcraft Major Payne’s Pet Menagerie: Elder Python

There it was, glimmering in a shaft of light that leaked in from a crack cave’s ceiling, just atop a pedestal that looked completely harmless. Who knew such treasures could be found in undiscovered caverns in Uldum? Of course, the moment I grabbed it was the moment every single booby trap imaginable let loose upon me! I ran, I dodged, I even jumped over a giant hole in the floor just as it opened up to try and swallow me. Can’t catch Payne!

wow

Exiting the cave, I bolted through the forest adjacent to the river that ran along the Akhenet Fields. I could just make out the dual-prop idling in the water as I raced through the tall grass. Suddenly, behind me I could hear the cries of a million pygmies! “Ooga booga! Ooga booga!” they cried out. And as if that weren’t enough to send chills up your spine, I immediately began to feel the wind of their poisonous darts whiz by my head. I quickened my pace. “Start the engines!” I yelled. “Start the engines!!”

Whew! Once we got enough air, I could finally relish my discovery. But that elation, too, was short lived, as I could feel something slithering up my pant leg. “What the hell is that??”

“Ooooh, pretty!” Budd replied absentmindedly, and out of the cockpit and over the side he went, leaving me slightly confused . . . and alone with whatever it was. No matter! I was able to parachute to safety using my flowing cape of stupendousness. When I finally reached the ground, I discovered what was trying to hug my hamstrings: an Elder Python! Ewww! I hate snakes!

Need to vomit . . . Crithto, explain . . .

world of warcraft snake

Crithto: Major Payne hates snakes, so your duty is to take your team of pets and find some Elder Pythons on the Isle of Thunder and kill them all. Well, not all. I’d love it you were able to tame one for yourself. Just don’t tell Payne I said this! Now, it should be known these are as mean as they are in stories. They can pack a punch with Slither or Burrow, or whittle you down with their agonizing venom-based abilities like Poison Fang, Huge Fang, or Sting. Careful—some are even known to spit! if you want wow power leveling contact me.

I really, really hate snakes. Hate ’em! Just go, get out of my sight, and avenge my grief and the lunch I just lost. WHY DID IT HAVE TO BE SNAKES?!

WOW Raid and Battlefield Earth Times

WOW Raid and Battlefield Earth Times
5 copies, Raid and Battlefield Earth Times, there are game content, the core gameplay, they seem to have put this game completely generalize user interaction. Arena essentially can be considered as a simplification of the battlefield, but more of a rating set fixed. player a slow start due to get equipment, they are able to feel the full interactive fun, but when to get equipment faster and faster, the interactive fun of it was cut, because essentially the interaction time becomes shorter. Perhaps you would have to run many times five copies brush enough a blue outfit, and ran many times Raid accumulate to meet the requirements of this epic, and then to get into the most exclusive events to go, now only takes relatively less time It can be done. A typical example is extreme TBC 3.0, one of the players never touched wow is possible within 2 to 3 weeks by consuming a certain amount of yuan, rapid access to the best equipment, and then he would know what to do, There may be moments AFK. Though on the surface the player’s goal is to obtain equipment, but their behavior is realistic gaming experience in acquiring equipment during user interaction, there may also feel under the premise of the story.
Not always the king of senior players on the decline of WOW
The older players, in awe of this interaction is higher, because the early game where players are very difficult to survive and many wild elite task team must have at least three people, usually 5 team to complete and you can get equipped with blue suits based, but there are a lot of people to 60 who was also full of green. And in order to get the blue dress, the most important way is five copies, so you have to team up in order to get epic , almost the only way is to join the team, endured RL reprimanded, gingerly accumulate DKP, through good performance and improvement plans to fight for that coveted epic. living Earth Times players, mostly true.

This is a good user experience? May not be so Blizzard has been working to improve this experience. TBC piecemeal team size is an objective fact, and it is because of hidden information Boss drop without a corresponding change in the number of players to get a result equipment faster by 37.5%, or even more, because the Boss is changed more often fall addition, TBC adds prestige reached epic after purchase, with the hero badge for epic, Arena + points in exchange for epic other settings (at the arena can not be seen as a unique system because it is not perfect, nor supporting the battlefield rating categories, namely PVP system is not yet fully established, fully established in an open field after the big battle Wintergrasp ), players get equipment pathway becomes more, more and more people realize their dreams. now the problem is that they get a purple dress, and then they want to do?

WOW market growth and own issues

WOW market growth and own issues
That is, although there are significant market growth (props charges), but wow does not have at this point in the outbreak may increase while alone repeatedly updated version of a copy or add new Raid ‘Oriental Elements’, can get less and less attention on the other hand, due to market cost reduction, the media, the ground or the promotion of activities have been cut to varying degrees, thus making the game into a vicious circle, as mentioned above, and now only by wow players to invite their friends to join, no one will take the initiative to join, and this could have been done. Additionally, the shareholders lose confidence, staff reductions, shorter development cycles, and a series of problems will arise, such as MOP updated in October last year, up to now in just nine months, has now spread to the contents of 5.4, and 5.4 according to the set is the final Boss battle. chip period before all the data are in the 20 months or more, so you can easily see that is not in the rush (Released in the United States serving prevail). If we talk about the game content, a number of copies of MOP’s Raid is now 4, the average major version number 4 Boss, far lower than other piece of information, even if coupled with upcoming launch of the ‘siege Orgrimmar,’ the number of copies in the Raid, Boss, etc. MOP totals and averages are the worst.

In addition to its own issues, changes in the market can not be ignored. Before the words, as the basis of the 80 players are gradually lost, and wow and there is no way to attract new players after 90. MOBA game fueled in this process, the fact In 2007, as well as on the 2008 ~ 2010 wow delay in opening the new version of the waiting process, many players choose the MOBA as their temporary pastime, with Tencent promotion, LOL MOBA game as the new representative of the Chinese won the 500 million or more on-line, and thus the formation of other games unprecedented strong pressure. Unlike << Cross Fire >>, LOL is a war game, free and relatively balanced, players can not spend money has games, it represents the props charging mode MOBA type in the attempt, on the current indications are that this attempt is successful. based on sales terms, LOL maybe not necessarily better than wow high, but the development perspective, a far cry from the two, although their type different, but in the game market, any game can not be shared between users are competitive relationship, as mentioned above, wow in the end there is no potential users, whether users are on the market have been attracted to other games?

If only the cultural background missing, the game is reduced, interactive behavior to reduce the game total is still a way to open up the market through the conversion of new users to maintain, but the profit model is fatal stale. Everyone knows that no matter how good the game is impossible always afloat, wow equally inevitable recession and we do not know when it will soon roar down the server, leaving a group of players in front of the screen at each other, hoping that day would never come – I hope so.

WOW hack

WOW hack
The issue came to light on June 22, when a user named “Abidah” realized that almost 200,000 gold pieces had disappeared from his account for three unauthorized purchases in the game’s Auction House,. He posted his plight on the Blizzard forums, where other users shared similar experiences.

Blizzard investigated, and discovered that while “World of Warcraft” itself had not been compromised, its Web and mobile Auction House apps had. On June 23, Blizzard acknowledged the hack.
Not always the king of senior players on the decline of WOW
“We have taken the Web and Mobile Auction House offline to perform an emergency maintenance,” wrote a customer service representative on the forums. “Unfortunately we can’t provide an ETA as to when they will be brought back online.”

Blizzard is still not sure how hackers compromised the Auction House apps, but a number of users tell similar stories: After using the Auction House apps, they logged in a few days later to find tons of gold missing from their accounts, often exchanged for absolute junk.

In order to steal gold, the hackers put common, almost worthless items on display at the Auction House. Using players’ compromised accounts, they then bought the item for exponentially more than its in-game worth (a block of wood, for example, is not really worth 50,000 gold pieces).

In all likelihood, the hackers do not want in-game gold for its own sake, but rather want to sell it online in exchange for real money. The only problem with this plan is that Blizzard will usually restore players’ gold if they lost it to a hack. In a large-scale hack, this will essentially duplicate the server’s gold supply, causing massive deflation. Selling gold for real money becomes a profitless endeavor. WOW The Price Is To High!!!

WOW The Price Is To High!!!
Three helms are available right now, and each helm costs $15 each.  That does feel a little bit expensive.  Even if I did like the helms, there is no way I could justify spending that much on a cosmetic helm.  With that being said, there are people who want it badly enough that they are willing to pay the “inflated” price.

One thing we do need to take into consideration is that this is Blizzard’s first go at selling a cosmetic piece of gear for actual money.  Maybe I’m naive in thinking that they are listening and judging everyone’s reactions, and perhaps the price will change here soon to something a little more reasonable.  For now, if you don’t like the price don’t pay it.

Waste Of Resources!!!

Obviously time and effort has gone into the creation of these three helms.  This is time and effort that could have been spent updating character models or even just making our tier sets look better.  This argument is that Blizzard has wasted resources on something that is meaningless and put it up for sale in the cash shop.

This is a tricky argument because in ways it is kind of, sort of true.  Instead of taking the time to design a neat looking tier set that I would be proud to display, they’ve focused their resources on something – that we need to purchase with real money – to cover up something we earned.  It does feel a bit wrong now that I’ve re-read what I just wrote.  I really don’t have anywhere else I can take this, so I’ll leave that there for you to ponder on.

The Future Of Transmogs In The Cash Shop?

I have so many theories as to the future of transmogable items in the cash shop.  Some of them are reasonable and some of them are not.  Before I start into it, what do you think the future of transmogs – or just cosmetic items – in the cash shop will be?

WOW The Transmogable Helms

WOW The Transmogable Helms
I thought maybe we could just take a moment and chat about the new transmogable helms that were added to the Blizzard store.  When these cosmetic items were initially mentioned, the reactions were mixed.  Some players felt that a subscription based game should not be selling in-game items for money, others argued that if you don’t like them don’t buy them, and the rest were looking forward to showing off their cool new transmog helms.
The Outrage Of The Transmogable Helms
Well, now they are live and the vast majority of reactions involve anger in some form.  These helms cost $15 each, which is a little expensive in my honest opinion.  I’ve been trying my best to stay absolutely neutral because I had absolutely no intentions of purchasing a helm – so really this shouldn’t apply to me whatsoever – and yet my mind has been racing with where Blizzard could take this.

World Of Warcraft Has A Subscription!!!

The first bit of anger I wanted to talk about was the subscription with a cash shop argument, and honestly I get it.  When you are already paying your $15 a month, it feels a little off to be adding items to a cash shop.  With that being said, World of Warcraft is not the first game to do this.  I can think of at least three other games that I played that had subscriptions and a cash shop right from the beginning.  What is it about Warcraft that makes this seem so wrong for people?

I personally couldn’t care less about WoW having a subscription and a cash shop.  They’ve been selling mounts and pets on there for years now, and I have yet to feel forced to purchase one.

WOW Will Launch In-Game Store

WOW Will Launch In-Game Store
Blizzard will add in-game microtransactions store to World of Warcraft. Initially the store will only be available in Asian regions during the testing phase.
world-of-warcraft-the-lich-king
Blizzard community manager Bashiok said: “For players who are already interested in the in-game items we offer, such as Pet Store pets and mounts, the benefits of an in-game store are pretty clear. We think everyone would appreciate the convenience of being able to make such purchases without having to leave the game, and ultimately that’s our long-term goal for the system, though there’s quite a bit of work involved in retrofitting those existing items into the new system.

“First, we’ll be testing the in-game store with some new kinds of items we’re looking into introducing (in Asian regions, at the outset) based on player feedback: specifically, an experience buff to assist with the leveling process, as well as an alternate way to acquire Lesser Charms of Good Fortune.

“We’ve had a lot of requests from players in different regions for convenience-oriented items such as these, and as with other new ideas we’ve introduced as WoW has evolved-including Pet Store pets, mounts, and more-your feedback plays a hugely important part in determining what we add to the game.

“Ultimately it’s still too early in the process to make any final determinations about our plans, but in the meantime, we hope you’ll check out the in-game store once it’s implemented on the PTR and let us know what you think.”

WOW Original Story

Original Story: Blizzard has announced that it’s investigating the possibility of adding microtransactions to World of Warcraft.
Ex-Blizzard dev: World of Warcraft killed a genre
In a post on the game’s forums, community manager Zarhym explained that no decisions had been made and the new system would only be available “in certain regions”.

“We are currently exploring the possibility of adding a way for players in certain regions to make purchases directly within the game,” he wrote. “As part of this process, elements related to this will be appearing on the PTR. We’ll provide additional updates on our plans as development progresses.”

The post was made in response to a player finding an item on the Public Test Realm for a future patch that grants a “100% XP Buff” from both killing monsters and completing quests and is available through an “In Game Store”.

It’s worth noting that Zarhym’s response suggests only certain regions will be getting the new system, meaning NA and EU may never see it. Seeing as we already have the Blizzard Cash Shop over here and the company has received some serious flack for accusations of double dipping by having both that and a subscription fee, it’s likely the new microtransactions are planned for other countries such as China.
